Curbside Garbage Collection Schedule & Guidelines

  • The Latah County Collection Map is currently down for maintenance. If you have questions regarding your pickup day, please call (208) 882-5724.

    Curbside collection is limited to trash only at this time.

    If your pickup is missed, please contact us right away.

  • Inland North Waste observes the following holidays:

    - New Year’s Day
    - Memorial Day
    - Independence Day
    - Labor Day
    - Thanksgiving
    - Christmas

    PLEASE NOTE: If your regular garbage day falls on or after the holiday, your garbage will be collected one day late that week. If your regular garbage day falls before the holiday, your trash will be collected as usual.

    Garbage Routes are subject to change. Before the holiday, please call (208) 882-5724 or message info@inlandnorthwaste.com if you have any questions or concerns.

  • Services are provided in contract with the Latah County Solid Waste office. Fee schedule, regulations, and payment information can be found on the Latah County site here.

  • Roll carts come in 35, 65, and 95-gallon sizes, and prices increase accordingly. View the fee schedule here.

  • We ask that you please place your trash in tied plastic bags to prevent litter during transfer or in case your can gets knocked over.

  • ● Set carts out by 7:00 a.m., remove from the street within 24 hours.

    ● ”Wheels in arrows out!” Place wheeled cart against the curb or along the alley with the handle pointing toward your residence.

    ● Keep carts at least three feet away from other carts, mailboxes, fire hydrants, parked cars, or utility poles so trucks can easily access the cart.

    ● Roll-carts are available in 35, 65, and 95 gallons. The correctly sized cart should allow for occasional extra volume.

    ● Items that are around or fall from your roll-cart during collection are the responsibility of the customer. To avoid this, please tie off all garbage in plastic bags and place in roll-cart.

    ● If your garbage or recycling is missed, please call INW at (208)882-5724 as soon as possible.

  • Materials not allowed: construction material, TVs, monitors, hot ashes, human waste, large quantities of animal waste, dead animals, solvents, flammable liquids, asbestos, ammunition, fuel tanks, hazardous materials.

    Please contact us for questions regarding the safe disposal of such items.

Bulky Waste Sites

  • The Bulky Waste Sites were created to allow rural residents to dispose of items too large to be put out with their household garbage. All residential accounts are encouraged to use driveway service weekly.

  • All Bovill, Deary, Genesee, Juliaetta, Kendrick, Onaway, Potlatch and Rural Latah County households may use the Bulky Waste Sites. This service is available for Latah County residents at no charge. You will be required to provide an address of origin for the material, which must be in Latah County, as well as a phone number.

    NOTE: Nez Perce County and City of Moscow residents and businesses do not pay into this Bulky Waste Site system and are not permitted to use the Bulky Waste Sites.

  • Demolition Waste including scrap metal, 2 large appliances, 4 passenger tires (no rims), drywall, concrete, tile, carpet, laminate flooring, porcelain, brick, untreated lumber and roofing materials. Not allowed in April & October at sites.

    Upholstered Furniture including box springs and mattresses accepted year-round.

    Household Waste is only accepted in April & October. Household Waste includes all plastic and rubber materials, small appliances, railroad ties, contaminated waste, tents, insulation, Styrofoam, fiberglass, hot tubs, tarps/canvas.

  • All paper, plastic, cardboard, foam, Styrofoam, pre-treated wood, loose insulation, household garbage, animal/game waste, hazardous materials, and medical/infectious wastes are not accepted at the Bulky Waste Sites.

    E-waste (TVs, monitors, CPUs or towers, and laptop/notebook) will no longer be accepted and must be taken to Moscow Recycling.

    Please contact INW for proper disposal of these types of waste.

  • INW Transfer Station: (2nd & 4th Saturday of the month, 8AM-4PM)

    Residents from Troy, rural Moscow, and those with extremely large loads are encouraged to use the Transfer Station.

    Deary: (2nd & 4th Saturday of the month, 8AM-4PM)

    Located on Line Street behind grain elevators.

    Genesee: (2nd & 4th Saturday of the month, 8AM-4PM)

    Located on Morscheck Road across from the sewer lagoons.

    Juliaetta: (1st & 3rd Saturday of the month, 8AM-4PM)

    Located south on Hwy 3 past the ballpark.

    Potlach: (1st & 3rd Saturday of the month, 8AM-4PM)

    Located at Mr. Johnson’s old pit. Turn south onto Pine St. (which turns into Rock Creek Rd.) and continue ¼ mile. On left before railroad tracks.

  • April and October are deemed Household Cleaning months. Household waste like plastics and rubber items are accepted during these two months only on your specified Saturdays.

Recycling Dropoff Sites

  • Some Recycling Dropoff Sites are in the same location as Bulky Waste Sites. However, they are NOT the same. Bulky Waste locations are often fenced and only open certain hours.

    Recycling Dropoff Sites are unfenced and open 24/7.

    Moscow Recycling Center:

    Located at 401 North Jackson Street.

    Boville:

    Located on Railroad Avenue across from Bovill City Hall and the tennis courts.

    Deary:

    Located on Line Street behind grain elevators.

    Genesee:

    Located on Morscheck Road across from the sewer lagoons.

    Juliaetta:

    Located south on Hwy 3 past the ballpark.

    Potlach:

    Located at Mr. Johnson’s old pit. Turn south onto Pine St. (which turns into Rock Creek Rd.) and continue ¼ mile. On left before railroad tracks.

    Troy:

    Across from City Park in the lot of Sunset Mart. If the bins are full or nearly full, please contact Latah County Solid Waste at 208 883-5706 to schedule service.

  • Recycling Dropoff locations accept materials 24/7, 365.

  • MIXED PAPER

    Mixed wastepaper, magazines, catalogs, newspaper (including inserts), telephone books, junk mail (envelopes with plastic windows are accepted), gift wrap (no glitter, foil, or bows). Please place loose materials in containers.

    CARDBOARD & BROWNS

    Cardboard, paper bags, and dry food boxes (such as soda and cereal boxes; remove waxed liner).

    METALS

    RINSED aluminum and tin cans.

  • Do they fit the criteria listed as acceptable for the Bulky Waste Sites? Then stop by one of those locations on a Saturday they are open.

    E-waste (TVs, monitors, CPUs or towers, and laptop/notebook) must be taken to Moscow Recycling’s main facility.

    If you are unsure where to take a specific item or items, please contact INW and we will be happy to direct you to the proper location.

  • #1 and #2 plastic bottles are accepted at our Moscow Recycling facility located at 401 N Jackson St, Moscow, ID 83843.

Container Rental

Roll Off containers (20-yard, 30-yard, and 45-yard capacity) are available for rental. Please contact INW for fees and scheduling.

Event Services

If you are having a large party or gathering or sponsoring an event in Moscow, Inland North Waste/Moscow Recycling has various containers for recycling free of charge.

Depending on your needs, we can accept plastic bottles, cans, paper products, and, with enough lead time, food residuals composting. Please contact INW for scheduling details.
PLEASE NOTE: The City of Moscow has first priority for city events/programming.

By utilizing these services, the Moscow Renaissance Fair achieves 90% diversion of the waste they produce by composting and recycling, and we would love nothing more than to help your upcoming event reach a similar level of sustainability.
